You acquire and share knowledge by literature, measuring in the plants and setting up experiments and tests.
You will have to manage projects from the early specification phase, over the design phase up to the construction, start-up and debugging phase.
You will be in charge of the conceptual design of the equipment in very close co-operation with your colleagues from Bekaert Technology Centre who develop the products and processes and with the plants that receive the equipment.
You extensively use calculations, models & simulations and pilot tests to validate the ideas.
You work closely together with the designers to come to an optimal design and you will functionally lead them in projects.
In line you will report to the Senior Design Engineer.
You have a Master degree in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent.
You are passionate about becoming an expert in mechanical design.
You are creative, result-oriented and can demonstrate hands-on problem solving skills.
You are eager to build up your knowledge of your domain and willing to share this knowledge within the team.
You enjoy working in a team.
You are customer oriented and you are eager to try out new ideas.
You are a good organizer and communicator because you will work in an international design team.
You have a good knowledge of English. Other languages are an asset.
You are prepared to spend short periods abroad at regular intervals (a few times one or two weeks abroad every year).
Experience in using CAD, FEA and CFD is an asset.
